2011 Stand Tall Scholars
The five St. Tammany Parish Public School graduating seniors who were awarded $5,000 scholarships by Chris Duhon Stand Tall Foundation were honored at the second annual scholarship dinner on Friday, July 22, 2011. The dinner was held at The Gallery in Slidell, Louisiana, where the host, Chris Duhon and current Stand Tall Scholars honored these exceptional seniors for their academic excellence and outstanding community service.

2011 Graduates receiving scholarships were:
- Joseph Charles Reynard, son of Alton Reynard and Ms. Sheryl Reynard. Joey is a graduate of Salmen High School and is currently attending Louisiana State University, where he plans to pursue a degree in Archtecture.
- Carley Marie Furlan, daughter of Charles and Susan Furlan, is currently attending Southeastern Louisiana University under the Scholars Program. Carley is studying Biology & Pre-Med to pursue a career as a family phyisician. She is a graduate of Fontainebleau High School.
- Alan Joseph Cox, Jr., is a graduate of Salmen High School and is currently attending Southeastern Louisiana University where he is studyng Nursing. Al is the son of Alan Sr. and Judith Cox.
- Michelle Yvonne McElroy, daughter of Patrick and Kay McElroy is a graduate of Northshore High School. Michelle is attending Louisiana State University to study Kinesiology - Human Movement.
- Bethanie Paige Tinker, daughter of Harold and Michelle Tinker, is a graduate of Mandeville High School. Bethanie is attending Philadelphia University, Philadelphia, PA to major in Fashion Design in the College of Design, Engineering and Commerce.
