Sneakers 2 Succeed (S2)
WHO: The Chris Duhon Stand Tall Foundation (CDSTF) in partnership with Art of Stepping (AOS)
WHAT: The Sneakers-2-Succeed (S2) Campaign is a year-long campaign, to collect new or gently used sneakers for children in need.
WHERE: Will host several events and establish several drop-off areas for people to easily donate their brand new/gently used sneakers. Collected sneakers will be donated to selected charities and organizations that work with area children in need. Our mission is to help get our youth active and moving.
WHY: Childhood obesity is a growing epidemic in the U.S. The only way to prevent further growth of this chronic illness and intervene in the current obesity cases is by coming together and combating this illness at various angles. Sneakers-2-Succeed is just one angle and we hope that you will join us in collecting sneakers so that even children who are in need have a chance to combat their obesity.
WHEN: S2 Campaign, launched several events beginning July 2011 until June 2012. Following are events that will be held in the coming months in support of this campaign:
March 1, 2012 thru May 11, 2012

Operation 1-7-5-2 is an effort to provide footwear to students identified by Seminole County Public School's Families in Transition (FIT) Program.
Donations will be collected at the following Seminole County Public Schools beginning March 1, 2012 thru May 11, 2012:
- Lake Howell High School
- Lake Brantley High School
- Lake Mary High School
- Lyman High School
- Oviedo High School
On May 11, 2012, Operation 1-7-5-2 will culminate in a county-wide pep-rally in conjunction with the Lake Howell Blue and Silver Community event. During the pep-rally, each school will count the collected sneakers. Operation 1-7-5-2 is a friendly competition between these schools in which the winning school will get their own pep-rally.
