5th Annual Thanksgiving Food Giveaway
Chris Duhon and The Stand Tall Foundation in partnership with Feed the Children Organization will host the Stand Tall Thanksgiving Food Giveaway on Wednesday, November 16th at Fritchie Park Gym in Slidell, LA.
The Stand Tall Thanksgiving Food Giveaway will benefit at-risk children and their families, 400 in total, who were pre-selected and each family will receive boxes of food, which includes a 10-lb turkey, non-perishable food and personal care items.
This annual giveaway was created four years ago, because we wanted to do something in the holiday spirit to help families in Slidell, who would otherwise not be able to afford and enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal together.
In the previous four years, Chris Duhon and The Stand Tall Foundation have touched the lives of many families in Slidell, and we've helped over 1,600 familes receive turkeys and other food items for their Thanksgiving dinner.
This year's food giveaway will be held from 3PM to 6PM at Fritchie Park Gym, located at 901 West Howze Beach Rd., Slidell, LA 70458.
